What is World Team Tennis? WTT is co-ed teams competing in a format that consists of 6 no-ad sets. One set each of men’s and women’s doubles followed by men’s and women’s singles, ending with 2 sets of mixed doubles. Total games won from all sets determines the winner. Substitutions and coaching are allowed during the match.

What is a WTT team? A team must have 2 men and 2 women, as a minimum. (6-8 players recommended). This allows for periods of rest and missing matches.

Who can play? Adults(18 & over) may sign up as a team or an individual.

When do leagues play? Teams play weekly during an 8-week season. 4.0 plays Mon., 3.5 plays Tues., 3.0 plays Wed.., 4.5 plays Thurs. All matches are 7-9pm.

Divisions offered: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 The average NTRP rating of the top 2 men and the top 2 women players on your team determines the team rating.

Where do we play? You can play at your local courts, club, or park. In the 8-week season, there will be 4 home and 4 away matches. Upon receiving the schedule one week prior to start date, team captains will book courts.

What is the cost: League fees are $30 per person which covers league organization and awards. Home team is responsible for any court costs and balls. Pay with credit card when you register at www.wtt.com or call or send check to West Coast Tennis, PO Box 1527, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254.

Can I register as an individual/substitute/team? You can register as an individual (we will make every effort to find an existing team for you to join in any given season)

League winners qualify for a National Qualifier? Winning teams advance to the WTT Nationals. Your team is eligible to participate for up to 1 year from the end date of your league. For every 4 teams in any one WTT local league division, 1 team will be eligible. Awards will also be presented to winners.

You must register via the internet at www.wtt.com (under local leagues). You are not an official league participant until you have registered online. When you register via the Internet site you will be e-mailed league information during the season and your WTT Member Benefits (WTT Point of Contact Newsletter, discounts on hotel, rental cars, 2 for 1 tickets, plus more).
